More info: The aqueduct in Segovia was built more then 2000 years ago and it still remains in working order today. The aqueduct was used to channel water from springs in the mountains 17kms away to houses, fountains and public baths in Segovia. The aqueduct is built of unmortared, brick-like granite blocks and from the point the aqueduct enters the city until it reaches Plaza de Díaz Sanz it has 167 arches

The city walls of Segovia, which where built in the 11th century, are still standing today and Segovia Cathedral built between 1525 and 1577, was the last cathedral of the late Gothic style built in Spain. Within the cathedral is a museum where the first printed book in Spain can be viewd, which was created in 1472.

Rising out on a rocky crag at the western end of Segovia old town, is the medieval Alcazar (fortress). It was built around the eleventh century by the Berber Almoravid dynasty and has served as a royal palace as well as a fortress. Is is said to have been inspiration for Walt Disney's Cinderella Castle.
