More info: Karlovy Vary is a spa town located in the west Bohemia region of the Czech Republic and has been a popular resort since the 19th century. It lies at the confluence of the Ohre (which flows across the city) with the Tepla and Rotava rivers. Karlovy Vary is the site of around 13 main springs and 300 smaller springs as well as the warm water of the Tepla River.

The hottest of the springs can approach 74 °C, while the coldest have temperatures under 40 degrees. All of the springs combined provide roughly 2,000 litres of water every minute. Because each spring has the same hydrological origins, they share the same dissolved minerals and chemical formula.

Karlovy Vary is also known for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which is one of the oldest in the world and one of Europe's major film events.
