More info: Grindavík is a fishing town on the Southern Reykjanes Peninsula of Iceland. Located close to the town is the famous Blue Lagoon which is a major attraction of the area.

Grindavik is one of the few towns with a harbour on this coast and most of the inhabitants work in the fishing industry. The town has been an important fishing station since medieval times and due to its long history with the seas, the town has a museum called the Icelandic Saltfish Museum.
