More info: Blackpool is the only town in the United Kingdom with three piers. In 1863 the North Pier was completed, becoming a centre of attraction for visitors. Central pier was completed in 1868 with a theatre and a large open-air dance floor. The town later expanded towards the south shore, creating the South Pier and what is known today as the Golden Mile.

The Blackpool Tower on the seafront, is one of Britain's best-loved landmarks, and one of Blackpool's most popular attractions. Built-in 1894, it stands 518ft tall and the viewing platform is some 380ft above ground level. It is the site of four amazing attractions: The Blackpool Tower Eye, The Blackpool Tower Circus, the Tower Dungeon and the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is world-famous for its unique sprung dance floor and spectacular architecture and remains to this day, a mecca for dance fans from around the globe.

The Blackpool Tower and Tower Ballroom are both Grade 1 listed buildings.
