More info: Washington Golf and Country Club which was built in 1924, is also known as the Club of the Presidents. Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, and Calvin Coolidge were all members and Taft, Wilson and Harding were active golfing members at the club. The club is considered the oldest golf club in Virginia and the ninth to join the U.S.G.A. Facilities at the club include a driving range, putting and practice greens, a swimming pool, 10 outdoor tennis courts, 5 indoor courts and a fully equipped fitness centre.
