More info: Surf City is a small beach resort town on Topsail Island, just about 30 minutes outside of Wilmington. Although a relatively small barrier island, Topsail is divided into 3 parts: North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach.
West of Surf City, Topsail Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway separate the island from the mainland. This narrow body of water provides the perfect setting for canoeing, kayaking, water skiing and fishing.
