Live Bryant Park Webcam in New York
More info: Located adjacent to the New York Public Library and surrounded by iconic skyscrapers, Bryant Park is visited by more than 12 million people each year and is one of the busiest public spaces in the world.
Known as Manhattan's Town Square, Bryant Park is a 9.6 acre public park located between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas and between 40th and 42nd Streets in Midtown Manhattan.
The first park at the site was opened in 1847 and was called Reservoir Square due to its proximity to the Croton Distributing Reservoir. Reservoir Square contained the New York Crystal Palace, which hosted the Exhibition of the Industry of All Nations in 1853 and burned down in 1858. It was renamed Bryant Park in honour of William Cullen Bryant in 1884.
Located in the heart of Manhattan, Bryant Park forms an oasis among Midtown skyscrapers and is just outside of the chaos of Times Square. Bryant Park hosts a wide variety of different events throughout the year, particularly in the summer and in winter it has a free ice skating rink.
