Located on the river side of the Matanzas Inlet just north of St. Augustine's historic district, the Vilano Beach Pier is one of the many excellent places to fish in St. Augustine. A novelty dolphin sculpture archway greets visitors at the pier entrance, along with a whimsical Vilano Blue Bird of Happiness statue, which says, "Happiness is Vilano Beach, Florida."
