More info: Lake Jasna is a picturesque alpine lake with sandy beaches around its edge and a backdrop of high mountain peaks of the Julian Alps. It lies at the confluence of the two branches of the River Pisnica in the far northwestern corner of Slovenia, just south of the alpine resort of Kranjska Gora. On a boulder next to the lake, is a dark bronze statue of the Zlatorog or Goldenhorn – the magical stag believed to guard the ridges around the lake.
