More info: Dumpling Mountain is a 2,440 feet (744-meter) high mountain in Katmai National Park, known for its spectacular panoramic views of Brooks River, Naknek Lake, and the surrounding wilderness.
The mountain's summit is an alpine tundra habitat, and the trails leading to it are known for their beauty and as a popular spot to observe brown bears. A hike to Dumpling Overlook is a moderately strenuous hike which climbs 800 feet (244 m) over 1.5 miles. The trailhead is located in the Brooks Camp Campground.
