More info: Kamfers Dam is located Just north of the Northern Cape’s capital city Kimberley. It is a privately owned reservoir that covers some 400 hectares. Kamfers Dam is one of the very few breeding sites for the Lesser Flamingo and the area around it forms a designated conservation zone.
Kamfers dam is natural in origin as it forms part of the central South African pan system known as the Highveld Salt Pans.
