  • Info: Live streaming train webcam on the Isle of Wight. The webcam is located at Havenstreet Station and shows the platform, station buildings and trains. Havenstreet station is the heart of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and is home to all of the Railway's main events.


More info: Havenstreet Station opened in 1875 and was an intermediate stop on what became the Ryde and Newport Railway, Isle of Wight Central Railway, Southern Railway and British Rail – late being renamed Havenstreet in 1958. The station was closed in 1966 but re-opened in 1971 as the headquarters of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

Since re-opening there has been the construction of a locomotive works, carriage and wagon repair works, additional sidings and a café. The former gasworks has been opened to the public as a shop and museum, the water tower formerly at Newport was re-erected at Havenstreet in 1971.

Locomotives and Carriages have been painstakingly restored to pristine condition The oldest locomotive at Havenstreet was built in 1876 and carriages date back to 1864.
