More info: Buddha Lodge is located in Lukla which is a town in the Khumbu area of the Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It is situated an an altitiude of 2,860 meters (9,383 ft.)

Lukla is a small town with an airport, supply shops, hotels and lodges for tourists and visitors. As well as being a popular place for those wishing to visit the Himalayas, Lukla has become known to be one of the airports with the scariest and most dangerous landings in the world. The airport has a very short and steep airstrip which is often accompanied with hazardous weather.
