More info: The lighthouse is close to Castle Point Township and stands at 52m above sea level, with a tower height of 23m. It has a white light flashing three times every thirty seconds.

Castlepoint Lighthouse was first lit in 1913 and designed by engineer John Blackett. Castle Point lighthouse was one of the last manned lights to be established in New Zealand. It is owned and operated by Maritime New Zealand.

The lighthouse is accessible to the public and may be reached on foot from the Castle Point township.
