- Info: Live webcam showing Litli-Hrútur Volcano in Iceland. Litli-Hrútur Volcano is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwestern Iceland. The last eruption appeared to the north of Fagradalsfjall near Litli-Hrútur on 10 July 2023 and ended on August 5th, 2023.
More info: Litli-Hrutur is about 1024 feet (312 meters) in height and is located in the Fagradalsfjall volcano area. The eruption which started on July 10th, 2023 was expected as for about a week, the nearby area had been shaking with constant earthquakes. The area is known for its sweeping lava fields, volcanoes and geothermal activity.
The lava flow from the half-mile-long fissure (900 meters) started out much stronger than the previous two eruptions but later started flowing with similar force.
