More info: Teignmouth is a seaside town and fishing port situated on the north bank of the estuary mouth of the River Teign, about 12 miles south of Exeter.
Teignmouth claims record-breaking hours of sunshine and its geographical position ensures mild weather conditions for much of the time. Large Victorian buildings dominate the seafront which also has a pier, whilst Georgian cottages line the narrow streets behind.
Dartmoor National Park, Exeter and Torquay are just a few miles from Teignmouth, making it an ideal central location for exploring South Devon. Teignmouth is on the South West Coast Path, as well as at the end of the Templer Way, an 18 mile walking trail which follows the historic line taken when granite was taken from the quarries at Haytor on Dartmoor, to the docks at Teignmouth.
