Pine Island does not have Gulf of Mexico beaches like other areas of Southwest Florida, however, by boat, visitors can hop over to Cayo Costa and the beach at Cayo Costa State Park, or by car, head to Cape Coral or Fort Myers Beach. Pine Island is known for its abundant mango production, making the island a significant hub for American mango production. The island even hosts the annual MangoMania festival.
