More info: Located at one of the few natural deep-water harbours on Cape Cod, Hyannis Harbour has a resort marina that can accommodate everything from day sailors to deep-draft super yachts. Hyannis Harbour is home port to a commercial fishing fleet, charter fishing boats, ferryboats, sightseeing boats, yachts, and sail boats.

Hyannis Harbour is not a natural harbour but is protected by a breakwall that was constructed beginning in 1824. Hyannis Harbour was used by packet schooners, often as a stopover whilst waiting for favorable winds to sail the treacherous back side of the cape to or from Boston.

There is daily ferry transportation to and from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket from Hyannis.

The harbour is where the Hyannis Port Yacht Club is located which was founded in 1909.
