More info: The Green Turtle Club Resort and Marina is in the exotic Out Islands of Great Abaco. Located on Green Turtle Cay, an island just three miles in length, in the Bahamas, it is reached only by boat. The Abaco Islands lie in the northern Bahamas and the island chain is a boating, fishing, and sailing paradise.
Great Abaco Island and Little Abaco serve as the “mainland,” with a string of barrier islands separating them from the Atlantic. The Abaco Islands are protected on the ocean side by the third-largest barrier reef in the world.
Diving and snorkelling are excellent throughout The Abacos with several protected areas such as Fowl Cay National Reserve and Pelican Cays National Park. Massive reefs with swim-through caves are filled wall to wall with silver baitfish. There are several dive spots where it is common to see Caribbean reef sharks.
