Ventnor Beach is a gently sloping beach of sand and fine shingle set in a sheltered bay.
The town of Ventnor is a traditional seaside resort on the south side of the island.
More info: Ventnor beach on the Isle of Wight, is the southernmost beach on the island. The red shingle and golden sand beach is sheltered by high cliffs and attracts locals and visitors alike. At the beach is the famous Isle of Wight paddling pool, a giant replica of the Isle of Wight map showing all the major towns and roads. The paddling pool has delighted children for over 100 years as have the rock pools that appear from beneath the waves at low tide.
Not far from the esplanade are Ventnors flower filled botanical gardens where subtropical plants thrive in the microclimate. Blackgang chine is a 16 hectare cliff-top theme park with rollercoaster rides and adventure playgrounds.
