More info: Three Anchor Bay is a small anchorage in Table Bay overlooking the South Atlantic Ocean. Its name probably comes from the fact that there was a defensive chain which stretched across the Bay and was probably secured in place by three anchors. The beaches along this stretch are in the main covered with mussel shells thrown up by the ocean.
