White Bay is a popular British Virgin Island anchorage and many independent yachts and boats dock out in the water and passengers swim or dinghy to shore.
More info: The webcam is located at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar which overlooks the beautiful pristine sugar white beach of White Bay. The Soggy Dollar Bar is home to the original "Painkiller" rum based cocktail. The bar draws visitors from all the surrounding islands and is a real weekend hot spot with live music, great food, and of course great coctails.
The recipe for the "Painkiller," was developed by Daphne Henderson - the owner of the Soggy Dollar Bar. The cocktail was then commercialized by Charles Tobias - the founder of Pussers, on Tortola – and is believed to be four parts pineapple, one part cream of coconut and one part orange juice - adding Rum as you see fit and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Jost Van Dyke is the smallest of the four main British Virgin Islands and is named after an early Dutch settler and a former pirate. The island is well known for its sheltered yacht anchorages and for the party animals, Great Harbour is world-famous for its yacht-filled parties on Halloween and New Year’s Eve.
