Huntington Beach Pier juts out over the Pacific Ocean and is one of the longest piers on the west coast. It is a great place to watch people fishing, walking, swimming and surfing and a great spot for a colourful sunset. The pier was rebuilt twice after damage from storms in the 1980s
The International Surfing Museum displays longboards and other memorabilia. Sprawling Huntington Central Park features fields, gardens and lakes, plus an equestrian center. Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve adjacent to the city, has important wetlands and dunes which shelter hundreds of bird species.
