More info: Dymchurch is a small village located on the south east coast of Kent at the very edge of the Romney Marshes.

Dymchurch Beach is backed by a sea wall which allows pedestrians to walk all along the beach between Hythe Military Rifle Range and St Mary’s Bay.

Just off Dymchurch High Street, a Martello Tower (number 23) stands overlooking the beach. This was built in the early 19th century Napoleonic Wars, as part of the coastal defences against a possible French invasion.
