Bundoran boasts two beaches. Main Beach is just a short walk from the town’s main street. It is flanked by rocks and backed by a promenade. The beach has fine views across the bay and out towards Benbulben mountain. There is a funfair and ‘Waterworld’ indoor water park close by.

Further along the coast, Tullan Strand offers a two-mile stretch of sand and has some of Ireland’s best surfing conditions, but strong currents near the shore make it unsuitable for swimming or even paddling. Around Bundoran there are some good clifftop coastal walks and the coast also offers some good opportunities for birdwatching and sea angling.
