More info: Broadstairs is a coastal town in the Thanet district of east Kent, about 80 miles (130 km) east of London and situated between Margate and Ramsgate. The town lies above a harbour with cliffs on either side. It has seven bays of golden sand, which are (from south to north) Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay.
Broadstairs has fishermen’s cottages, clifftop walks and independent shops lining unspoilt streets. The town has a wealth of inviting cafes, restaurants and bars as well as two 1950's ice-cream parlours Morelli's and Chiappini's.
Broadstairs was Charles Dickens’ favourite holiday spot and 2020 marked the 150th anniversary since the authors death. The Dickens House Museum on the seafront, displays many artefacts relating to Charles Dickens and his life in Broadstairs.
