Brighton has three three different sections of beach along Port Phillip Bay: Upper Brighton Beach, Middle Brighton Beach and Dendy Street Beach.
The most famous spot on Brighton's coastline is the Dendy Street Beach. Lining the foreshore of the beach is a row of colourful, distinctive bathing huts. Built well over a century ago in Victorian times, the bathing huts remain almost unchanged.
With almost 6 kilometres of coastline within Brighton's suburban boundary, there is a diverse range of attractions and activities for all. Designated areas of Brighton's beaches are used by windsurfers and water skiers.
