Info: La Mata or Torre La Mata is a small town (municipality) and resort considered to be a suburb of Torrevieja.

Playa de la Mata is one of the more spacious beaches of Torrevieja with a length of 2,300 mtrs and an average width that exceeds 40 meters. It stretches from Cabo Cervera in the south, to Torre de La Mata in the north – a tower once used as a lookout post and which gives the area its name.

Play de la Mata has a promenade along the entire beach with numerous bars and restaurants. Behind the beach, there is a large stretch of sand dunes that make up the “ Parque del Molino del Agua ” a place which is popular for walking.
