More info: Amroth is located on the south coast of Pembrokeshire, 7 miles east of Tenby and at the start (or end) of the world renowned 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Amroth has a long, flat, sandy beach which at low tide, has a huge expanse of sand which reveals stumps of a petrified drowned forest dating back to the Ice Age. The beach is a mix of sand with a pebble bank, and much of it is separated from the village by a seawall. At a very low tide, it is possible to walk along the sand all the way to Saundersfoot, about 3 miles away.
